For Safaricom subscribers in Kenya, subscription is quick and easy (the services are not yet available for Celtel subscribers).

Simply follow the steps detailed below to subscribe to the various services.

KAZI560

Job seekers can subscribe for free simply by typing the title of the job [insert link to list of jobs] they are interested in followed by the word ON in into an SMS and sending it to the number 560, e.g. DRIVER ON. Cost is 3 Kenyan Shillings (Ksh) per SMS received.
Employers who wish to use the service to reach out to a wide range of employees can simply contact OneWorld in Kenya on +254 (020) 316 800 or +254 (720) 291 217, formulate a short message they want sent out and leave OKN Mobile to do the distribution for free via SMS.

Health Tips tips on HIV/AIDS or breast cancer

Send either the words BCANCER ON or AIDS ON (for HIV/AIDS tips) to the number 560 to subscribe for free and then receive daily tips at a cost of 7 Ksh on the relevant health issue.

MyQuestion get an answer to your HIV/AIDS question

To use the service users need to activate the service with Safaricom by sending the text message EMAIL ON to the number 123. They will then receive an SMS informing them that the system is activated and they are now able to send an SMS with the word AIDS followed by the question to number 123. The answer will quickly be sent back to you.

Community News free service to people in Kibera, Kawangware, Mathare, Mukuru and Kangemi

There is no automatic subscription to this service as all subscribers are registered within the communities to ensure that they are allocated the correct news for their area. For further information or to request a visit to your community please email Antony Mwaniki.
