Virtual Bali


For those who want to participate in the UN Climate Conference, 3 – 14th Dec, without the carbon cost of flying.


Opening a global window on Bali:
  • A chance to participate by getting together in the virtual world
  • All you need is your computer and broadband
  • Join people at the conference from all over the world
  • Each day you can attend a press conference or meet one of the delegates
  • Put your own questions and make your contribution to the debate

7.30-9am EST (12.30 to 2pm GMT) each day of the conference

Participating from around the world:
  • For your colleagues who wish they were going to Bali
  • Each avatar in the virtual meeting is a real person sitting at their computer
  • People from up to 50 countries can participate at the same time and communicate between the worlds by voice and text chat
  • And all with virtually no travel carbon costs


Be part of it through Second Life:
  • If you’re new to Second Life, start at www.secondlife.com
  • Then once you have the software installed, this is the link you need here
  • From OneClimate Island you will be directed to available meeting areas where you will be able to use text chat to put questions and comments to delegates

  • Because Second Life meeting areas only hold a few hundred people, the whole virtual event will be screened to the widest net audience at:
