Eat dinner on behalf of needy children

FOOD FOR THOUGHT
Do you love being a host? Do you enjoy cooking for your friends and family? Well, now here’s some food for thought. The Child In Need Institute (CINI UK) is launching a recruitment drive for people to host fundraising dinner parties in aid of CINI. The host will cook dinner for a few invited friends, sending out invitations saying that the guests are asked to donate whatever they would have paid for that meal in a restaurant. This money will be in aid of CINI’s FIGHTING MALNUTRITION IN INDIA APPEAL. Cherie Blair would be formally launching the recruitment drive with a cookery demonstration with Anjum Anand at the TASTE OF ASIA FESTIVAL on 29th May 2009 at 12 noon. For more details, funding raising dinner party packs, contact info@ciniuk.org, or call 02077933714 About CINI: The Child In Need Institute (CINI) helps poor mothers and children in India break free of the inter-generational cycle of poverty, malnutrition and ill health. The charity has a strong track record of bringing about sustainable improvements in nutrition, health, education and child protection. It provides nurturing support at key stages in the life-cycle: childhood, adolescence and pregnancy. This helps mothers’ lay the foundations for a happy and healthy future for their children. CINI not only helps mothers and children directly, it is also one of the Indian government’s nominated “Mother NGOs”, responsible for sharing best practice with other NGOs and government health workers in India, so that more people can benefit from its expertise.
