08.10.2003 Delegates from nearly 40 U.S. states and 70 countries will participate in the festival. Three days of public events are planned on the National Mall: Sept. 9 (Mother Earth Day); Sept. 10 (Children's Wellness Day); and Sept. 11 (Children's Peace Day). Educational workshops, performances, art activities and more will be free and open to all each day from 11 am to 5 pm.

The three-day Child Art Festival opens on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. Tuesday, offering the opportunity to meet master artists and interact with some of the most creative children from the U.S. and around the world. Tuesday is Mother Earth Day, Wednesday Children's Wellness Day, and Thursday Children's Peace Day.
