The Crisis States Programme seeks to provide new understanding of the causes of crisis and breakdown in the developing world and the processes of avoiding or overcoming them. The programme is based at the Development Studies Institute, London School of Economics.

Shooting Dogs - a new film about the 1994 Rwandan genocide - will be on general release in the UK from 31 March. Filmed in Rwanda and featuring many genocide survivors among the cast and crew, the film seeks to raise awareness of the atrocities.
