The Transparency International Croatia presented the results of its public opinion survey on financing of election campaigns. The survey was conducted by Promocija Plus Agency, on May 2-3, on a representative sample of 1,300 persons, under the auspices of the Preventing Political Corruption project.

The Transparency International Croatia (TIC) reports that the Draft-Law on Classification of Information, in its current form, may make the Law on the Right to Access Information totally obsolete and endanger the very progress of democracy in the country.

Transparency International Croatia reacted today to the draft-Law on Financing of Political Parties that entered parliamentary procedure earlier this week. TIC believes that the Law is an important step forward in creation of legal framework for fight against corruption, but that this draft has one great defect it doesnt regulate the financing of election campaigns.
