Voluntary organisation, Global Action Nepal, runs an education programme for the Thating Community in Nepal. The unique programme teaches both adults as well as children, who have never been to school. The programme focusses on basic literacy and numeracy.

A Nepalese organisation tries to improve the quality of basic education by training teachers of government school. A large number of teachers in Nepal do not have proper training skills as they were urgently drafted into schools because of rapid expansion in the number of schools.
