Bangladesh is forcing Rohingya refugees to go back to Myanmar where they are oppressed and persecuted by the military junta. Cases of coercion and intimidation of the refugees have been reported from the Kutupalong and Nayapara refugee camps in Bangladesh.

Military action cannot be justified under the pretext of bringing peace to Aceh, an Asian rights group said yesterday in response to an Indonesian government threat to resume military operations if the rebel movement in the province failed to disarm within two weeks and renounce its demand for independence.
