Sudan's Former Rebel Leader and First Vice President, the Late John Garang
23.09.2005 Before his death in August, Sudan's first Vice President John Garang issued an ultimatum that come November, Northern Uganda's rebels operating out of southern Sudan would face military action if they failed to disband. With Garang out of the picture, the rebels continue to be active, killing 17 in one recent attack.
