UN Commission on Sustainable Development recently ended a two-year discussion about sustainable energy. In response, the Working Group on Energy and Climate Change of the Citizens Network for Sustainable Development called for the "need to dramatically transform the ways we produce and consume energy in our individual households, communities, regions and nation.”

02.08.2005 The Citizen's Network for Sustainable Development (www.citnet.org) has recently released CitNet News 2005, the Summer edition of its electronic newsletter on sustainable development. The issue includes news articles on national and international issues as well as reports from various regions across the United States. It also includes various viewpoints, including this issue's editorial on "Freedom and Sustainability." In addition there are items on publications, events and other stories.
