El Instituto de Ecología Política es una organización no gubernamental que trabaja desde 1987 en el área de medio ambiente. Nuestra labor se ha desarrollado a través de la educación para la sostenebilidad, la investigación, el fortalecimiento de la sociedad civil, campañas de educación, de denuncia, acciones legales en defensa del medio ambiente y las personas. La creación de alianzas estratégicas y desarrollo de políticas publicas que puedan garantizar el derecho a vivir en un medio ambiente saludable. La construcción de una sociedad mas ecológica y sustentable, es la misión que guía nuestro accionar.

Tuesday, September 16, 2003, International Ozone Layer Protection Day, was commemorated in Chile with a record-size hole in the ozone layer. One week ago, the hole was 28 million cubic km., and it seems that within the next few weeks it will be 30 million cubic km.
