Baby Milk Action is the UK member of the International Baby Food Action
Network (IBFAN - www.ibfan.org). IBFAN is a network of public interest groups working around the world to reduce infant and young child morbidity and mortality. It aims to improve the health and well-being of babies and young children, their mothers and their families through the protection, promotion and support of breastfeeding and optimal infant feeding practices.

Nestlé, the worlds largest food company, has been reported to the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) over its marketing of Nan HA hypoallergenic infant formula for using claims that campaigners describe as misleading and dangerous. Legal action was taken by authorities in the US over similar claims after infants suffered anaphylactic shock after being fed on the formula.
