Terms and conditions for use

These are our terms and conditions for OneWorld users who want to gain the most from all of OneWorld's features. This requires registration as a member and by completing the registration form you will be deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

If you register with OneWorld, you'll want to know about our Privacy Statement. In reporting on named individuals OneWorld recognises that every person (whether poor or rich) has the right to privacy and freedom from intrusion, although OneWorld acknowledges that the privacy of those in public life may be reduced by their public role.

  • Personal information gathered on the OneWorld website will be shared only in cases where individuals give their explicit consent.
  • OneWorld uses cookies to allow enhanced features, such as personalization. Users can opt out of these cookies at any time.

1. Registration

When you register, you are registering as a personal user of OneWorld. Access to registration areas is via your username and password. We allow you access to the registration areas of the site on the basis that your user name and password are personal to you and may not be used by anyone else.

2. Termination of registration

OneWorld may, at our discretion, cancel your access to the registration areas of OneWorld immediately and without giving you any advance notice if we you are abusing our system in any way.

If we wish to bring the agreement to an end, we will do so by emailing you at the address you have registered stating that the agreement has terminated. The agreement will terminate and your user name and password will become invalid immediately.

3. Disclaimer of liability

We give no warranties of any kind concerning OneWorld content. We accept no responsibility for any infection by virus or other contamination or by anything which has destructive properties and you must take your own precautions in this respect.

4. Discussion/bulletin boards

Users of our site may submit material for publication in various areas of the site, including our discussion/bulletin boards. We accept no liability in respect of any material submitted by users and published by us and we are not responsible for its content and accuracy. If you want to post on the OneWorld discussion/bullitin boards, you may do so only on the OneWorld dicussion forum terms and conditions.

5. Data protection

To ensure compliance with the law and engender trust with our users, OneWorld aims to follow best practice in data protection. We do not share addresses with other companies or partners.

If you have indicated that you wish to receive email or other services from OneWorld, your personal details will be included on a database compiled for this specific purpose. Users can choose to unsubscribe from OneWorld e-mail services at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions found in the e-mail message sent to subscribers.

6. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

OneWorld International, the coordinating body of the OneWorld network, is based in the UK. As such this agreement is governed by English law and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
